“Blog Posts” has worked it’s way to the top of my to-do list, so I’m getting a handful of session shares together today. I’m starting with this little beauty because her wonderful mini session captures that spring magic and the sweetness of little girls! She, her mommy, and I really enjoyed our half hour together that beautiful evening. Heather and I were smiling as much behind the camera as Piper was in front of the camera! Here are a few of our favorites. Let us know if you have a favorite image below–it’s always fun to hear what you are drawn to!

Today I’m putting the to-do list on hold for just a bit to put together a perhaps very random post, simply because I want to! As I posted on facebook last
night, after a wonderful mini session a couple weeks ago with Miss Piper (who turned 2 this past December), I’ve been reminiscing on each time I have photographed her since she was born–and as a “bump” in her momma’s belly before she was born! I couldn’t resist going through my favorites from each
of these past sessions and pulling a few to share. It’s the greatest of joys to see a child grow up in front of your lens, get to know their unique personality,
and capture all that is special about them. Makes me so happy!!

October 2010–before Piper’s December arrival

As a sweet, smiley newborn…..

My favorite baby age– 6 to 8 months! This is the PERFECT session stage–sitting up, easily engaged & expressive, and not yet on the go!
This stage isn’t long enough. :)

December 2011–the 1st Birthday girl was full of smiles and sweetness!

I saw Piper again this past Fall –between 18 months and 2 years–at her family’s mini session. She was bubbling with happiness that gorgeous evening

And present…..a very sweet little girl with an even sweeter little voice. She’s talking so big these days!
She’s at a super-fun age right now. LUCKY ME to have captured her sweetness yet again!

In other news, I’m getting very excited as the plans for our new home & studio come together! It’s sure to be a long road ahead of us, but I’m ready! I’ve been working on all the specifics (see here and here) for quite some time. ;)

Taking a break from the endless proofing and processing to share some favorites from a recent order. This session was so enjoyable! Since it was right between Wyatt’s 1st Birthday and Sydney’s 4th Birthday, we were able to get some gorgeous updated portraits of each as well as some sweet sibling and family photos.

Wyatt couldn’t help but smile from ear to ear and dish out cuteness! I love those chubby feet…..and arms…..and cheeks…..  :)

Sydney will be 4 in June, going on 14. Very well-behaved, social, sweet little girl. Did I mention how much I enjoyed this session??

Wyatt’s cake smash couldn’t actually be referred to as a “smash.” He’s a tidy guy. He enjoyed his cake, minus the mess.

Sydney was a dream in front of my lens. So fun!!

Best big sibling ever! She lets Wyatt do his own thing and doesn’t try to outshine him or order him around. She is good with her baby brother.

Leeann & Scott, keep up the great work!! You are shaping two happy, kind, smart little people!

Today the Kid City USA daycare in Jasper welcomed visitors to their first Open House. Before the evening kicked off with a special ribbon-cutting, I was able to take a “photo tour” of the amazing, 9,000 square foot facility to share a sneak peek with you! If you weren’t able to make it to the Open House earlier this evening, you can still go Friday evening, April 19th, from 5-7 pm or Saturday, April 20th, from 10am-2pm. For more details, you can find Kid City USA Jasper on facebook here.

There are whimsical murals painted throughout the daycare.

Sweet baby Keegan demonstrates how much fun the nursery at Kid City USA is!
I grabbed a quick snap of mommy and son before visitors started arriving. These two have “photogenic” down pat! :)

I love how open, bright, and spacious each classroom is.
There are several neat features, unique to Kid City USA, that remind me of a children’s museum.
I can only imagine how much the kids will enjoy the huge sand room–complete with boardwalk (to catch sand upon exiting)!

I’ll wrap up this brief photo tour with the adorable canvas gallery that decorates the front lobby.
I have many, many favorites from each of Landon and Keegan’s sessions, so it was hard to narrow
my choices down! A picture of pictures can’t do them justice–these canvases are so much cuter in person.
