My nephew, Henry, is turning 4 and his mama wanted to schedule a custom photography session to mark the occasion. While having photos taken doesn’t rank high on a little guy’s agenda, I help disguised the “obligation” by throwing in a lot of fun.  :- )  I had superhero Henry “keep me safe” by holding my hand as we raced down the sidewalks and across the streets after looking both ways. After we got done with all our “superhero work”, we stopped in at the pet store to see the animals. These sneak peeks will be a complete surprise for mama (a.k.a. “Big LRP Fan”) as I sent her off so it was just me & Henry. Erica, if you love these, you’re in luck–I have many more where these came from! Look for a second (big) photo share coming soon!
.

I post this first photo as evidence that Henry was having fun–just look at those sparkling eyes & that big smile!

Mama picked out a fun “urban” outfit complete with Chucks!

As usual, picking just a few favorites for the sneak peek was incredibly hard (and I had no one to help me)!
I ultimately chose this final photo because it struck me how “grown up” Henry is starting to look!

The recipe for a perfect session: one beautiful little girl in a pretty First Communion dress, perfect weather, and gorgeous light! I was on cloud nine Friday evening when I had the pleasure of photographing Miss Summer. I wanted to get a sneak peek posted and not make her Mama wait another minute, so here are just two of my many favorites. I’ll be back to post many more as I have so many favorites from Summer’s session! We’ll also be designing custom invitations for Summer’s First Communion, so I’ll share a photo of those, too. Also, check the blog next week for a fun “urban” session sneak peek!

With the absolutely glorious weather we had on Wednesday, I decided to pack a lunch for the twins, grab my camera bag, and get out for the day! Our perfect day included visiting with family, ice cream, and being outside until the sun went down! What a joyful preview of Spring! So, this post is for Mom, Amy, and Cheryl who requested more photos of the twins’ on the new blogsite. And, for those of you that are sick of seeing photos of my twins, there will be some new gorgeous faces on here soon!

My March through May sessions are filled with the exception of 1 or 2 Senior Model Reps I’ll be accepting–more on that coming soon! If you know some outgoing fashionistas that love to work it for the camera, send them my way! I’m so excited about my upcoming sessions–among them some new faces and sweet repeat clients! My mind is already racing with ideas!  If any session dates open up, I’ll post them here on the blogsite. Also, I’ve been yearning for a newborn baby girl session (although a baby boy would be just as wonderful!)–I just got an adorable new knit hat last week, have an awesome new prop I want to use, and did some extensive window shopping for all things baby girl last week. So, if you or someone you know is expecting and interested in scheduling a session, let me know asap. Newborn sessions should be done when baby is 5-9 days old.

And, before you feel sorry for the poor little boy of a camera-crazy Mama, let me just say: this was actually the FIRST shot I took. It was his idea–in fact, he begged for me to take “a picture of me on the porch”. AND this is him thinking he’s dishing out cuteness. So, he’s not actually fed up with me here. He just looks like it!  ;- )

.
And, I have to include these. My little girlie is an animal lover just like her Mama was when I was little!

First off, I want to say thank you so much to my 2009 clients and all that have inquired about scheduling a session! I appreciate your patience while I worked behind the scenes on several projects. I’m thrilled to launch my new blogsite that now features galleries in the menu above! So, take a look around and let me know what you think by leaving a comment below. In addition, I’m sure you’ve noticed that I’ve also been working on a complete rebranding to reflect my pure, natural style of photography. I’ve also changed my business name–it’s now Lacey Reimann Photography. With the new business name & blogsite also comes a new email address: info at laceyreimann dot com.

Scheduling

I’ve been gearing up for an exciting year and looking forward to kicking off my 2010 sessions! I wanted to give everyone a chance to visit my new blogsite first. Then, on Monday morning I’ll be officially reopening my books for scheduling. I’ll be accepting sessions for the months of March through May for the areas I specialize in (baby’s first year, big kids, and high school seniors) as well as repeat clients. At this time, I am unable to accept sessions outside of these categories since I have a very limited number of sessions available as I still have two little ones at home full time. See “The Custom Photography Experience” and “Scheduling a Session” for more details. Due to the number of scheduling inquiries I’ve received, I anticipate email volume to be high on Monday, so please be patient with me–I promise to return your email as quickly as possible.

I’ll complete this inaugural post with a photo of sweet little Keenan that I had the pleasure of photographing twice last year–a handsome little face and sweet personality to match! I’m looking forward to seeing who I’ll have the pleasure of photographing next!!! With that, after weeks of sitting at my computer working until the wee morning hours, I’m off to collapse on the couch! I’ll be checking my email (new and old) throughout the day and even this weekend to accommodate pricing catalog requests.
