Friday morning I got to meet my mini-session winners and what a wonderful morning it was! The weather was perfect and Ethan & Cora were adorable, sweet, and a treat to photograph! I had fun playing with Ethan & capturing Cora’s pure baby sweetness. As a custom photographer, my goal is to not only provide my clients with beautiful & meaningful portraits, but to also make it a wonderful experience. I remember stress-filled sessions with my twins when they were little and I don’t want that for my clients. I want our session to be nothing like a typical session full of frustration, expectations, and tears. I love when parents are able to relax & watch their kiddos giggling, having fun. The results are photos that capture who that child is instead of a forced, cheesy smile. In an email prior to this session, I told Ethan & Cora’s Momma to “come prepared to have a relaxing morning with beautiful weather & just watch your kiddos shine!” And shine they did….

Little Miss Babycakes has the most beautiful blue eyes that just sparkle!

Adorable runs in the family, because big brother Ethan is just irresistible!

Of course we also got a sweet sibling shot for their complimentary holiday cards.

Rachel, thanks again for a wonderful start to the weekend! You’ll find plenty of adorable options for your holiday cards in your proof gallery!

The alternative title to this post might have been “when will I learn?” It’s funny how my creative excitement blinds me to the fact that things have never gone as planned when it comes to sessions with my own two kiddos. And I realize there are two factors at play here: 1) Photographer’s Child Syndrome and 2) Photographer Mom Syndrome. The former is well-known among photographers with little ones. The latter I’ve diagnosed myself with. Being a perfectionist & knowing what perfection looks like, I want those oh-my-gosh-I-love-this photos of my children. While I never quite capture the photos I envisioned of my twins, I realize–in the end–that what I came away with is just as valuable.

We capped the evening off with angel wings + field frolicking + sunset.

I have October session dates available! If you’re interested in scheduling a Little Angel session for your child(ren), email me at info@laceyreimann.com.

When Momma set this blonde-haired, blue-eyed cutie down and he flashed me this sweet little grin, I was Smitten with a capital S! Being able to combine my love for babies & the creative art of photography is deeply rewarding. However, I’ve come to realize that working with sweet little babies has probably only added to my baby craziness. It is hard to refrain from giving my littlest clients big squeezy hugs & smooches. I manage to keep it to sweet baby talk. If anyone ever needed a newborn niece or nephew, it would be me! (Sadly, there are none in my immediate future at this time.)

Amy, thanks again for a wonderful session! Being a mother of four has surely contributed to your super laid back attitude & that always makes for a fun session with beautiful results! I hope you enjoy your sneak peek. There is more cuteness to come in your gallery!
