On Saturday evening I visited with two little ladies, Ellie & Addison, that I previously photographed in Fall 2009. They have a new baby brother, Cohen, who just turned one! Obviously, a session with three children ages 6 1/2, 3, and 1 is pretty much guaranteed to be a challenge. But what a rewarding challenge it was! These three kiddos amused me all evening!

Perhaps most amusing is my little friend, Ellie. Like my 6-year-old son, she talks….A LOT! :- )  She has so much character and spunk. What can I say, I absolutely adore any opportunity to work with this little girl! Since the three-and-under set don’t usually last as long, I started our session with their portraits and saved my one-on-one time with Miss Ellie for last. She wanted to go back to the lake behind their house for her photos. Needless to say, we had a lot of fun and got some gorgeous just-before-sunset portraits of one pretty little girl.

I decided when I was preparing this post that I would include one pretty/traditional portrait and one (or two or three) fun photos of each kiddo.
Ellie is all about fun!  :- )

While photojournalistic/documentary photography isn’t my strong suit, I do love those types of images.
I couldn’t resist snapping this one of a growing-up little girl traipsing barefoot through the woods.
As soon as we hit the trail, she stopped, squished her feet in the mud, and excitedly announced, “OH, I LOVE SQUISHY MUD!”
She is a country girl through and through!

And Miss Addison. Oh, little Miss Addison. Again, a very strong, defined personality at such a young age and very different from her big sister, Ellie.
Addison knows exactly what she wants and she won’t take no for an answer. And don’t try to pull the wool over this little cutie’s eyes. As I said
during our session, “She wasn’t born yesterday!” At 3 years old, she’s one smart cookie! I love her expressions and sass!

I posted this one on facebook Sunday. Isn’t she just adorable?!

And, the little daredevil of the family…Cohen. What a fearless, happy, on-the-go little guy he is! And cute? Yep, he’s got that in the bag!

He sure does love his little stuffed monkey.  :- )

There are so  many more I’d like to share from this session when I get “caught up.” What a wonderful evening I had with these kiddos!
Thanks so much, Jennifer and Jay, for inviting me back again!

My Thursday morning session with sweet little Reid and his Momma was full of smiles and joy! Reid completely melted me. What a wonderful, happy, expressive baby boy he is. I was Smitten with a capital S. So, I can only imagine how his Momma must feel. This session was yet again a perfect example of what I always tell clients inquiring about a session for their baby: 6 to 8 months is the absolute best age! If you’re investing in only one custom session in your baby’s first year and you want to get the most beautiful images possible, I recommend you schedule the session for 6-8 months of age. At this halfway point in your baby’s first year, he or she is sitting up, very social and more easily engaged, expressive, and not yet on the go. You can really capture their unique personalities! Many parents wait until the 1-year mark to invest in a custom portrait session. At one year, most babies have a lot of new found independence and are very busy seeing and exploring, not so much staying put. :- )  If you’re thinking about scheduling a session for your baby, I highly recommend a session at 6-8 months of age! You’ll be thrilled with the images that are captured…..

Like this first image that I have looked at dozens of times since uploading after the session Thursday. This is a new all-time favorite for me. I love everything about it–particularly that darling little man and his big, contagious smile. (Joni, this is just one of which I was saying would make a GORGEOUS canvas! I can’t imagine sweeter art to display for years to come and see that big, joyful smile every day.)

Yes, he generously dished the smiles out left and right.

This one totally gets me. Momma love….

Joni, if you love these photos even half as much as I do, I have the feeling you’re pretty happy about now.  :- )

After rescheduling due to rain (and cold!) last Sunday, I met up with Alicia and company on Wednesday evening. The rain held off all day–until our session. So, we spent the first half hour or so chatting and waiting for the drizzling rain to let up. Needless to say, the sun didn’t make an appearance until the end of our session–around 8:30–so we squeezed out every last ounce of light. Despite the rain and gray, cloudy skies, we had a fabulous session! I can’t say it enough–I love working with senior girls! I enjoy being able to incorporate a fashion/modeling feel in the images while also capturing each girl’s unique personality. Alicia is not only beautiful, but also sweet and a little on the quiet side. I hope I didn’t overwhelm her with my chattiness. :- )

2012 Seniors: Please keep in mind, I am only able to schedule a very limited number of sessions each month! So, if you are interested in booking your Senior picture session between now and November, don’t wait to book! Email me at info@laceyreimann.com.

I wanted to come back and share a few more favorites from adorable baby Jeb’s session. This little guy is not only extremely cute, but he has the personality to match! I love his almost mischievous expression in this first image.

I think he was enjoying the limelight with his adoring fans–Mommy, Daddy, Grandma, and I–eating up his cuteness!

And a couple photos I snapped of his canvas and some other items before they were delivered to one beaming Momma! He is one lucky, loved little man!
