If I had to describe baby Avery in one word, it would have to be PERFECT! This baby girl is absolutely beautiful, sweet as can be, and has the most gorgeous complexion. I loved, loved, loved working with this little cutie pie. She was a dream to play with on Friday. Of course, I’ve been sharing an image on facebook right after the session, and this first image is the one I shared. If you ask my husband and my best friend, Amy, they’d probably say they are sick of me telling them my favorite kind of day is a “blue-sky-with-fluffy-white-clouds day.” Those days just make me happy. And, I always find myself wanting to get out and shoot on those days. So, as luck would have it, we had that perfect kind of day for this perfect baby girl’s session.
I got to use my *vintage* baby quilt. Yes, it’s 33 years old!! I LOVE it for these photos!!
While she was born a little early and weighed 5lbs, 10 oz, she is just the perfect size and even has a little baby chub!
And she’s a happy little lark…..
Yes, she was a perfect baby girl for her session…
But I expected nothing less from the baby sister of this handsome guy, who holds the record for easiest 2-year-old session ever!!
He’s soon-to-be 4 and just as sweet!!
I think Chase is going to be a GREAT big brother!!
If you know Avery & Chase’s mommy, Lisa, and you feel bad for all the difficult choices she’ll be making when she sees her beautiful gallery,
let me know if you’d like to surprise her with a gift certificate to apply to her order! ;- )

Yes, I’m baby crazy and love baby sessions. But, it’s equally rewarding to watch those little babies grow into smart, busy, independent toddlers. I’ve had a handful of opportunities to work with Miss Mady and family and it’s always fun catching up and seeing how much Madelyn has grown and what she’s up to. She’s grown even more since her 18-month session and she’s talking so much, too. Who would have thought at her one-year session that the same time the following year she’d be saying “Thank you, Mommy” upon being given a cup of juice. What a difference one year makes! Here are a few favorites from our beautiful, breezy summer morning session last week.
I’ve been sneaking Mommies into photos lately. While Dads usually aren’t fans of photo ops, I’m realizing that Moms are. We love our children
and do so much for them, yet have no photos of ourselves with them. I’m really enjoying capturing sweet moments of Mommas with their little ones.
Last week was full of girly sweetness as I had a wonderful newborn girl session the following day! Watch for baby Avery’s super-cute sneak peek up next!

Another little doll that I had the privilege of photographing! Miss June’s session was originally slated for March, but after a family emergency, my trip to Indy was cancelled. We had the chance to meet up this past weekend when I visited my sister and June was ready to show off her milestones! Of course, I love a cute, smiley baby that can stand but not yet run! :- )

This 8-month-old cutie pie has incredible, big brown eyes!! I posted this image on facebook earlier this week.
June looking Spring-y in her little green dress!
And she even had a chance to model her little ladybug swimsuit from Baby GAP.
I love shooting in my sister’s neighborhood in downtown Indy! Picket fences, leafy green trees, and sand are just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to wonderful “backdrop” options! This Carmel High School Senior Session was also done in the same neighborhood. If you’re in the Indy area and are interested in meeting up for a session, email me or use the contact tab above. And, Kathy, if you’re reading this, your cute kiddos are next on my session list when we plan another visit to Circle City!

Another huge post of Senior pictures!! I love working with High School Senior girls! I love the creative process and variety of natural backdrops and beautiful light. I LOVE the clothing and pairing the right outfits with the right settings. I love creating beautiful and unique images for each Senior girl I have the opportunity to work with!
Class of 2012 Senior Girls: If you like my style and want to talk about ideas or have questions about a Senior photo shoot with me, just let me know! I’d love to discuss plans and answer any questions you might have to help you determine if I’m the right photographer for you!
Hannah’s session was so much fun–lots of great clothing options plus beautiful settings! Not to mention how gorgeous Hannah is! Of course, we came away with many, many beautiful images from her session! We started out in an open field with bright, lovely backlighting for fresh, summery portraits.
Another great color combo: pink + green!
If you follow my facebook page, you’ll recognize a couple of these photos posted Thursday night.
Seniors, like my page to see more sneak peeks from upcoming Senior sessions this summer.
GOR-GEOUS!
I kinda have a hard time believing she doesn’t model in her free time. Except with all the sports and extra-curricular activities she’s involved in,
I know she doesn’t have “free time.”
Hannah plays both tennis and golf.
