Landon is 1! | Jasper, Indiana Baby Photographer
Posted on June 9, 2011
I was so excited to see Landon again for his First Birthday Session! One-year old sessions are typically a little harder because babies at this age are newly independent/walking and very interested in going and doing. It can be a little more difficult to engage them, even for a second. Also, they are usually cutting teeth left and right and are fussier. Add to that, this first birthday session was slated for a hot, steamy 93-degree evening— I knew I had my work cut out for me. I did a lot of pre-session prep and planning to make sure the session went as smoothly as possible and that I could get the gorgeous images I really wanted! :- ) And, Mr. Landon surprised me by being the absolute sweetest, content little guy and gave me many, many incredible images. I went home happy. And in love. Man I love these beautiful babies I get the opportunity to photograph again and again!
Some tips for babies, from Landon, on how to wrap your photographer around your little finger:
**Flash her sweet, toothy grins right out of the car–before she even has a chance to sweet talk you!**
**Reach your little arms out for her over and over .**
**Try to plant some kisses on her.**
**Be your sweet, adorable self! She eats it up! ;- ) **
My FAVORITE photo (below)….I’ve looked at it over and over. What a doll.
Landon and his Teddy
He got so excited when he saw the rest of his fan club (Grandma, Grandpa, and Daddy) heading our way.
He waved that chubby little hand and his smile got bigger and bigger!
The show continued with his cake smash at the end of our session. He was so happy and content to stuff handful after handful of cake
in his mouth while we all watched and giggled. I’ve never seen a baby make so little of a mess on the ground—he had no problem
getting every handful right to his mouth. :- )
Before turning in late last night, I had to post this one on facebook. Landon really enjoyed feeding cake to Mommy & Daddy!
And this one…..oh, how I love it. Messy cake faces and all. I love how proud his Mommy & Daddy look and how his expression says,
“I am a happy, loved little boy.”
Jenny, Adam, Cindy, and Keith, I hope you liked your sneak peek!! Plenty more cute photos to come in your gallery!!
Thanks again for a very wonderful evening with your close-knit little family!
