Lucky me to get to do Baby Adrian’s six-month photo session–my specialty! Without a doubt, the 6-8 month age is my absolute favorite to capture in baby’s first year and these sessions always produce some of my all-time portfolio favorites. Beautiful baby Adrian’s session was no exception. Trying to choose my top two or three images to prepare for this sneak peek was difficult at best. As with most 6-8 month sessions, we captured so many sweet expressions and tons of personality! Adrian’s session was right in her own home, which I think makes the images even more special. Here is a tiny glimpse into Adrian’s session! Many more to come in your gallery, Laura & Matt!

Adrian is s-t-r-o-n-g and very active! She loves to stand (at only 6 months!).

Off-the-Clock Photos {Indiana Nature & Pet Photographer}

What am I photographing when I don’t have a cute baby, kiddo, or gorgeous high school senior in front of my lens? My own children, of course, and nature and scenery, too! I’m always wanting to share some of my own personal photos, but usually never get around to it. Here are a few I snapped this past weekend. On Saturday, the twins and I went to our awesome library (just down the road from us!) for reading with Smokey! Isn’t he gorgeous?

His owner generously shares him with young children and nursing home residents. The twins really enjoyed reading to him.
We kinda wanted to take him home. : )

He’s a well-read dog! : )

It was so beautiful on Saturday, that we decided to go hiking that evening. As far as nature photography goes, I’ll admit that winter is
my least favorite season. But even winter has it’s natural beauty!

I’ll close with one more photo I took last weekend, of our cute little kitty, Tiger. He’s just as adorable in person! : )

This just might be the fastest sneak peek ever. I couldn’t resist taking a peek, myself, at the images captured at cute little Ani’s session today—after first taking an impromptu nap in the living room chair after getting home. : ) Yes, baby Ani wore me out today. She is one curious little girl and was so alert today. Ani made her debut just before Christmas! Here are a couple favorites of my sweet, inquisitive little friend at 12 days old.

Last week I had a wonderful time playing with, hugging on, and capturing portraits of the adorable Miss Piper. Born on New Year’s Eve, last year, she is just two days away from one whole year! Any parent will tell you that the months fly by. As this family’s lucky photographer, I can tell you that is so very true! I can still remember Piper’s newborn session (here and here) like it was yesterday! I can still remember each of big brother Cash’s sessions like they were just the other day! (Do a search for Cash and/or Piper on my blog and you’ll find plenty of cute posts. : )

Miss Piper is a very entertaining, BUSY, active, sweet, delightful baby girl. I’m sure her Mommy & Daddy are soaking up the last of her baby days before she turns into a toddler on the run. (I don’t give her long–she’s already a stable walker and never sits still.)

The post title is in reference to this little “pose.” Too funny and too cute!!

‘Tis the Season to be Jolly {Ferdinand, IN Baby & Children’s Photographer}

And sweet little Liam was definitely jolly the morning of his session! When we were planning his session, I was thrilled that his momma mentioned that she likes the diaper-only photos as those are always my favorite kind of photos at the 6-8 month age! It is perfect for showing off all that beautiful baby perfection and keeping the focus on baby and all those adorable expressions! I love creating pure, simple, beautiful baby photos. Liam’s session was done right at his Grandma’s house where he was visiting for Thanksgiving. In-home baby photo sessions are also perfect for photos in baby’s nursery, on Mom & Dad’s bed, in the living room, with the family pet, etc. And the best part of all? You don’t even have to leave home and it’s so easy to break for bottles and diaper changes.

While I was editing these photos, my husband walked into my office and asked “What do you want for Christmas?” I smiled and said “One of these.” : )
It’s no secret I’m baby crazy. I guess I always have been–if you ask my Mom what was at the top of my childhood wishlist for Santa year after year,
she’d tell you: A baby brother or sister. : )

I adore this sweet photo of Liam & his Mommy!And Liam was the perfect model for this adorable little tie & vest onesie made just for his session by my very talented sister, Leah.
(No, she doesn’t sell them, but they can of course be found in abundance on Etsy.)

Did this guy dish out the cuteness or WHAT?? This is the first photo that I posted on facebook the day of his session.

How quickly they grow from tiny, helpless newborns to laughing, on-the-go, curious little explorers! As Reid’s momma recently celebrated his 1st birthday, I’m guessing she felt a mix of emotions: pride and joy, and also a little bit sad at how quickly those baby days rushed by. When I last saw Reid, he was sitting up and all smiles! Boy has he grown in the last 5 months and he’s so interested in the world around him (read: busy, busy, busy!) and on the go! He’s as cute and sweet as ever!

I think it’s a must to incorporate FALL into an October baby’s 1st birthday session!

This cracked me up then and it still cracks me up now. : ) Notice the tippy-toes. He was trying to get a glimpse of the cows.

Happy Birthday, Reid!! I enjoyed singing the birthday song to you! : )

Costumed Cuties 2011! {Jasper, IN Baby & Children’s Photographer}

It’s super late, so I’ll keep this post short on words–the cute photos are what you came for anyway, right?! First up is little fisherman Jeb. Could his costume and “boat” be any cuter?? Notice the boat number on the front–103111. Jeb’s Daddy is an engineer, so it’s no surprise that he crafted the coolest little boat using Jeb’s wagon!

Such a handsome little lug. And by lug, I mean, wow has this little guy grown since his 1-year session back in April!

Next we have sweet ladybug Haley & her big brother, Bryce, the firefighter. And, needless to say, Miss Haley sure has grown A LOT since
her newborn session in April. : ) Actually, Bryce has, too. It looks like he’s lost some of that “baby” face.

And my little buddy, Landon, sure is one cute little Monster!! If you missed his one-year session this summer, you can see it here.
Baby Avery has grown so much, too, since her newborn session in June. She and her big brother, Chase, are as sweet as ever!!

Handsome little monkey, Reid, has also changed a lot since his 7-month session in May. This lovable little guy is now mobile and on the go!
Reid turned one this month and his 1-year session was last weekend. Stay tuned for another cute sneak peek coming soon!
Oh, Cam. I’ve told his Momma a hundred times that Cam and I make a great team. I love getting this little blondie in front of my camera.
I had a GREAT mini-session with this cutie pie before his Costume portraits. I posted one favorite from Cam’s Fall mini-session over on facebook.
Everyone that reads my blog knows this adorable duo. Cash and Piper are my most photographed kids! : ) I’ve been fortunate to photograph
both of them since they were born!! Their most recent session was in July.

It’s hard to believe this sweet little ladybug will already be ONE in just a couple months!! It seems like her newborn session was
just the other day!

What a wonderful month it has been! As I mentioned on facebook, I photographed 25 beautiful faces last weekend, alone! Among those beautiful faces was this gorgeous family of four! I thoroughly enjoyed this entire session! Sweet sisters Allie and Kate are not only super adorable, but they’re also naturals in front of the camera! : ) I could photograph them again, and again, and again! Things will be slowing down soon and I’ll have time to share lots more from all my recent sessions. For now, here is a little sneak peek from this family’s session! P.S. Cassie {Heritage Hills High School Class of 2012} | Santa Claus, IN Senior Pictures Photographer

What a busy yet beautiful October it has been! My clients this month have enjoyed unbeatable session weather and gorgeous fall backdrops! Heritage Hills Senior, Cassie, had the perfect evening for her session last weekend! One of the things I love about doing Senior picture sessions is tailoring each session to each unique senior! While I like doing the “model” shots that are so widely popular in the senior portrait industry, my primary focus is on capturing beautiful but REAL portraits that capture who a Senior is and what their personality is like. Senior sessions are so fun for me because I love the laid-back pace, chatting, and, of course, creating a variety of gorgeous images! I love the outfit changes, too! Like always, I have SO many favorites from Cassie’s senior session. Here are just a few….

Princess Zoie {Jasper, IN Children’s Photographer}

This little girl stole my heart and she stole the show, too! We won’t talk about HOW MANY photos I took of adorable little Zoie–let’s just say quite a few. : ) But, I’m so glad she had her time in the limelight and we were able to capture her, just as she is right now. Because Zoie will soon be a big sister! But for now, she is the princess of the house….

Obviously, these pictures speak for themselves……Mary looks amazing!

Zoie, just 3 months away from turning 4, is such a happy, content, little girl. I loved watching her play and explore.
She has such a beautiful, big imagination and loves to make up her own songs. She also loves to talk, talk, talk. : )

Creating a beautiful portrait is wonderful. Also capturing emotion and the essence of WHO a person is a job well done, in my opinion.

What a wonderful time in their lives!

I am confident the newest princess of the house will be welcomed with lots of love!!
