Hello!

Welcome to my home on the web. I periodically update the blog below with new and fresh images from recent sessions. I specialize in photographing babies and high school seniors, but also enjoy working with toddlers, children, and families. Please also check out my Image Galleries (above left) and give me a call if my style is a good fit for you: 812.630.8096. For real-time conversation and more frequent updates, follow me on facebook! Another thing I adore: homes and gardens! My favorite magazines are Better Homes and Gardens, Coastal Living, and Country Living. My favorite Pinterest boards are Interior Design Inspiration and Exterior Inspiration & Outdoor Spaces. And my favorite thing to do these days is gather ideas for our new house we will be building! I’ve always loved my friend Mindy’s house–we share a similar style. When I visited Mindy last week, I took my camera with the intention of taking a few photos for myself. Before I knew it, I had done a whole-house photo shoot. I know many of my blog readers also enjoy home and interior design eye candy, so I decided to share a few favorites here! Enjoy!

Mindy’s side porch/stoop is always invitingly decked out with seasonal plants in pots and the window box.
It is a show-stopper every Fall! I’ll take pictures this year!
Mindy’s favorite thing is her artful arrangement of gardening tools over the door.

This inviting porch has beautiful views all around!

Naturally I’m head over heels for all these windows and how bright, airy, and open her home is!
My absolute favorite piece in Mindy’s house is this gorgeous vintage dresser & mirror that she decorates for each season.
It is currently showcasing her found vacation treasures from Sanibel Island.

I can easily picture this house in the pages of Country Living!

I love the colors she chose to paint her stair risers.

Greeting me at the end of Mindy’s long, winding lane was an incredibly gorgeous field of vibrant zinnias–just one of the many beautiful
cutting flowers Mindy grows. Colorful zinnias were my wedding flowers–courtesy of my generous & talented friend Mindy!
She also created the gorgeous bouquets and boutonnieres for my sister’s wedding.

I am grateful for wonderful friends and the opportunity to spend a beautiful day with them!

What is your favorite part of Mindy’s house? If you see something you love, feel free to pin away!

With today being Forest Park’s first day of school, what better time to showcase some of my favorite senior pictures from Ashlynne’s session? I get so many beautiful products in that I design for my clients and always want to keep them for myself! I strive to get client orders delivered quickly, so I don’t always have time to take photos of all the neat things being delivered. Ashlynne’s Keepsake Image Box featured this lovely photo on the cover. This was also the large featured photo inside her Accordion Album.

This is Ashlynne–sweet, bubbly, and fun to be around!

Senior sessions are so much creative fun, I’m always daydreaming about the next one…..

It’s been a long time since I’ve shared some of my recent nature photography. This is another exceptionally long post as I have included not only several favorites from this summer, but also a few from seasons past that I haven’t shared here before. Shooting nature is definitely one of my greatest joys–a treat to myself to carve out time to go for a stroll with my camera.

Below, a closer look at the liatris (above, left)–pretty good spot for a praying mantis to hideout!

My Mom’s arbor and clematis:

Glads make such a gorgeous bouquet!

Another one of my favorites–hydrangeas! I plan to have plenty of these at my next house! : )

Every time I leave Mom’s in the evening, my eyes turn to this tree with the sunlight filtering through it–love it!

Another thing will have at my new house–a big plat of colorful zinnias in every hue!

Here are a few photos from our recent trip to good ol’ Lake Michigan.
While everyone else runs down a dune, I stop to take in the view and take photos, too!

The view at the top of a dune overlooking Lake Michigan is always breathtaking, as evidenced in this note etched into a dead tree.

To see more nature photos, look here, here, here, here, and here.
Next up: Ashlynne’s Senior Session favorites!!
